Sturbridge Village

Visiting Old Sturbridge Village is to walk back to the world of rural new England during America's early years (1790-1840) before the industrial revolution. It is an actual town that has been somewhat modified and idealized but still retains much of its early and mid-nineteenth-century character. The Village is operated in context so visitors see events and activities that would have occurred during the particular time of the year when they visit. If you came in spring you would see planting activities and in the fall you would see harvest activities.
