It all points west

It all points west - High level clouds delicately catching the last of the sun's rays complimenting the dramatic cliffs and the angles of the thin sliver of land leading out to the lighthouse at Neist Point.

With the sun setting over the Outer Hebrides far across the Minch, the sense of remoteness and end of the world feeling combining with the exposure of the high cliffs and ever battering westerly winds really do add to the drama on any visit.

Being one of the most westerly locations in the UK, Neist Point can be a fickle location even at the best of times; sunset can be very hit or miss here. It's a location that’s hard to beat as one of the best places to witness sunset and it really comes into its own when conditions are as superb as this.
