The silence of dawn - The beautiful ruins of Kilchurn Castle in the ethereal setting of Loch Awe on a deafeningly silent, still and peaceful dawn, reflected in isolated splendour from its normally mountainous backdrop by the dawn mist rolling up the loch.
A quintessentially Scottish location, witnessing first light and conditions like this at the loch is a truly captivating and enchanting experience, almost spiritual so; one can only marvel in wonder at nature's raw beauty.
This is one of those special, magical, moments I spend the whole year yearning for. I am genuinely moved and transfixed by such moments and this remains my most memorable scene from 2018; the experience will forever be etched into my memory and soul.
