Blown away

Blown away – Blown away, quite literally, by the raw natural beauty and scale of Stack Rocks at sunset under dramatic lighting and conditions with the raging sea swirling around their base.

The two limestone sea pillars, also known as Elegug Stacks, are located on the on the remote south west tip of Wales and are accessible only at certain times across the MOD Castlemartin military range. A vigorous onshore breeze, gusting at over 50mph, made for extremely challenging clifftop conditions rendering longer exposures pretty much impossible, but well worth all the effort with a dramatic result like this.

Castlemartin, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Wales
