Petals Lithed (Explored 2024-12-14)
A reinterpretation of an older negative. Back in August, I uploaded a toned scan of this negative, titled Petals.
Recently, I finally made my first steps in lith printing. I wanted to experiment with the lith process for quite a long time now but never really got around to it until now.
I've had my fair share of difficulties at first, which made it a bit frustrating. Ludwig Römer was a massive help here as he answered all my questions and explained everything to me. Thanks!
Once I saw the image on this print forming, I knew all the trouble was well worth it. I'll experiment with lith printing a lot more, it offers so much!
The paper used here had a lot of white blotches all over it. All the papers in the box have them, it seems. It's also fogged which makes it unsuitable for regular development but doesn't matter for lith!
Kodak Polymax RC with Moersch Easy Lith 1+10
Nikon F3 + AF Nikkor 50mm f1.8 + Kodak Tri-X Pan 400
HOYA Yellow Filter (if I remember correctly)
Expiry date: 1990s (?)
Exposure index: 160
Scanned on a Heidelberg/Linotype-Hell Saphir Ultra II using Vuescan.
