Ratusz mieści się w budynku dawnego kolegium jezuickiego. Wybudowano je w latach 1648-80, a w latach 1722-25 rozbudowano o boczne skrzydło i wieżę. Po kasacie zakonu od 1781 r. w budynku działało gimnazjum, a następnie seminarium nauczycielskie. Od 1897 r. budynek jest własnością miasta i jest siedzibą jego władz.

The town hall is seated in the building of old Jesuit college. It was built in 1648-1680 while in 1722-1725 it was extended with a side wing and the tower. After the suppersion of the Society since 1781 the building was used as a gymnasium and later as a teacher's seminary. In 1897 the building became the property of the city and has been the seat of its authorities since then.
