Introduction to the course:

The Rohingyas are an ethnic minority living in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. They are now taking refuge in many countries around the world for political unrest in their homelands. As international humanitarian actors are responding to the Rohingya crisis management with the help of national authorities in respective countries, the importance of a greater understanding of their language, literature, and culture is growing. The IIPM is offering Professional Certificate in Rohingya Language, Literature & Culture (PCRLLC).

Course objective:

The course will allow the participants to:

1. Understand Rohingya history;

2. Understand and define Rohingya language;

3. Understand Rohingya literature and culture;

4. Allow to participate in a micro-thesis research on Rohingya language, literature, and culture;

5. Enhance presentation skills;

6. Build self-reading, searching, idea-generating, and compiling skills.

The Theory of Change (ToC) of the course:

> Participants shall participate in interactive Q/A sessions in each class.

> Terminal exams will help them recapping the course curriculum.

> Micro-thesis will strengthen participants' critical and analytical thinking skills.

> Presentations will fortify confidence and will remove personality inertia.

Certificate Requirements:

To earn the Professional Certificate in Rohingya Language, Literature & Culture (PCRLLC), you must successfully complete eight (08)core sessions + take part and pass in two (02) exams + complete, submit, present, and publish one (01) micro-thesis + complete and submit the assignment of one (01) elective session. All requirements must be completed within four (04) months.

Salary expectations:

You could expect a 10-30% salary rise.

You could claim 15-45% more salary than those who don't have such knowledge base.

Academic Requirements & Other Eligibility Criteria:

- A high school diploma

- Minimum one (1) year of professional experience in any field

- Working knowledge in English

- NID/passport issued by any country
