Yannick Khong
Here's something new - A long exposure portrait.
I've had this shot in mind for a while now, but never actually went into the process of shooting it.
The process was simple, throw my model, fellow photographer Yannick Khong dangerously close to the edge of traffic where he would be run over, whip out the wide angle and get in as close as possible.
Leave the camera on a 15 second exposure while holding a tungsten gel'ed Sb-800 to camera left as close as possible without being in the frame...and bang! Turns out that the tungsten street lamp pretty much fell off right at the mid point of the shot creating a dual colored background that I find pretty intense =)
The 11x14" ratio crop is a second experiment where I'm testing what my shots would look like for an eventual portfolio.
