Greece: Kos, 18 August 2015

 

Spontaneous volunteer groups come each day to help migrants outside while they wait outside the registration centre. Here, a young Dutch tourist offers water to a man who sits under the hot sun.

 

So far in 2015, 160,000 migrants have arrived in Greece, already almost four times more than in the previous year. Kos, just kilometres from the Turkish coast, has received thousands of migrants already this year.
