Toronto Fire Third Alarm - 90 Forest Heights Blvd
Toronto Fire Services were dispatched to the area of Hwy 401 & Bayview Ave just prior to 1:30am on 01 January 2017 for the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival crews found a large house under construction on Forest Heights Blvd with the rear of the structure well involved. The incident quickly escalated to a third alarm as firefighters battled the blaze defensively from the exterior with numerous handlines to cover exposures and elevated master streams in use. The Office of the Fire Marshall was notified and the cause remains under investigation. The loss is estimated to be in excess of $8 million dollars.
