Custom Stretched Touch Screens at the Hall of Native North Americans

Two custom stretched 16:5 aspect ratio multitouch LCD monitors are placed below two enormous red cedar totem poles at the world-renowned Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.

These unique ultra-wide touch monitors were custom developed by Ideum for the Field Museum. The monitors have support up to 20 simultaneous touch points.

The custom touch screens help describe the features found on the totem poles which are "ornately carved with figures of grizzly bears, birds, and killer whales."

Ideum collaborated with the Field to design these units and has produced 80 of these custom multitouch systems to replace reading rails throughout the museum. To learn more about Ideum's custom work visit: ideum.com/creative-services
