The company Silicon Graphics Industries became famous through the very powerful computer systems specially designed for 3D graphics. Modern graphics cards for the PC are based on the technology developed for SGI machines. The Indigo-2 was used to produce computer animation films such as Jurassic Park / The Lost World.
