Moon shot. Jupiter and Io Europa Ganymede and Callisto in comments.

Snap of our only moon... a quarter the size and 1/81 of the mass of Earth.

 

You probably know it has a synchronous orbit which means we only ever see one side of it.. unless viewed from deeper space.

 

I suppose moon is a generic term for orbiting satellites, other planets have 'moons' but they get to have other names too.

 

I shot Jupiter this evening and four of its moons, which are easily visible, and they get to be named... Io Europa Ganymede and Callisto.
