Château de Chenonceau
Chenonceau is a 16th century renaissance chateau built over the River Cher in the Loire Valley area of France.
Diane de Poitiers was responsible for extending the chateau out over the river in the form of a bridge to the far bank and I read somewhere that she was influenced by the Ponte Vecchio in Florence.
