"Mercury Seven" mural
Composite mural of the "Mercury Seven" astronauts and a Convair F-106A, s/n 59-0010.

Ironically, the two photographs used to make this mural were separated in time by several decades. The photo of the F-106A was taken at Mojave, California in the 1990s.
Unlike most of the QF-106 target drones which were eventually destroyed, 59-0010 was eventually moved to the Aerospace Museum of California near Sacramento. See:

The vertical stabilizer of a Boeing 720 which was once operated by Hughes Aircraft and based at Mojave is visible in the background of the mural. You can see the entire aircraft here:
