Roman Pot Handle

Clay pot handle visible on the surface of the Roman (Herodian) remains at Antipatris (ancient Aphek). The present surface of the site (roughly equivalent to ground-level in the Roman period) is littered with hundreds of thousands of ostraca, fragments of broken pottery.
