pronounced "teh-zah" it means auntie. it's a nice thing to say to an older woman even if she isn't your aunt. Here we are in the streets of Eskisehir, Turkey and Nesli is talking to her about her beautifully restored Ottoman house. I heard her use the word :teyze" I think that's why she is smiling.
