.I Travel East.
An Architectural Genius.
Exactly 10 days ago, I took this photograph. I was awe-struck then, and I still am, today.
Visiting and experiencing the Jean Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles was an extremely fun and enjoyable day for me! If I was like a kid again when I saw Disneyland, here at the Getty Center, I was a schoolboy once more. Brimming with amazement and delight to the magnificent collection of works of the stellar talents that ever existed in this world, in this lifetime! It was really huge for me to see and linger about the works of my artistic idols ~ Van Gogh, Paul Gaugin, Marc Chagall, Degas, Maillol, et al, et al, et al! I felt like a dwarf amongst the best artistic minds in the universe. Whew!
But, what added to my excitement was the fact that I was there with my family (Cara loved the fountains and ponds, she actually tried to wade in one!) and with two of my respected and cherished flickr friends! Ate Zeetz Jones and Virginia! Two of Flicker's geniuses!
Thank you, Ate Z, and V, for taking us to this awesome magical place!
(Behind-the-scene: We were waiting for the tram that would take us back down to the parking lot. I was chimping and poring over the photos I took when I wandered my eyes about. Looking up, I saw how blue the skies remained. And then I saw this beautiful architectural view. 'How the perfectly azure skies was framed right on it! I was reminded of those "Salem" cigarettes commercials. *Snap!*).
