Silja Line Ferry

There is two ferry terminals in downtown Helsinki. The Viking Line terminal and the Silja Line terminal. If you consider yourself upmarket the you go with the Silja Line, and if you want a really good time on the cheap then you go on the Viking Line.

 

Note that the Viking Line boats are Red whereas the Silja Line boats are white.

 

Now isn't it a stange coincidence that during the Finnish civil war the factions were classified as the Whites and the Reds, and of course the Reds were communists and the Whites belonged to the bourgeois.

 

Now if I were to ask you which side of the harbour is the Viking line boat moored then you would not be wrong if you said left.
