Bee Gees Wall of Fame at Redcliffe, Queensland
At nearby Redcliffe there has been a commemorative statue and walkway built, devoted to the singing group who lived in Redcliffe at the time their singing careers began.
"Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, then moved in the late 1950s to Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia, where they began their music careers. After achieving their first chart success in Australia with "Spicks and Specks" (their 12th single), they returned to the United Kingdom in January 1967 where producer Robert Stigwood began promoting them to a worldwide audience." - wikipedia
Just recently the surviving member of the group, Barry Gibb, visited Redcliffe with his family to unveil this statue and the walkway. More pictures and video clip here:
