The perfect pose
I've been waiting for this shot for só long. In our little patch of forest there is a fire-break and when I drive up the driveway I have a perfect view in there. I've seen roe deer almost every day but they were always too far, or not in the centre of the fire-break or not looking up or.. Well, you get the message.
A couple of weeks ago, when the trees had fresh green leaves, it all looked so beautiful, I just had to give it a serious go. So I put up the hide in the middle of the path and tried for days, lying on the ground for a low perspective. The Roe Deer were there but again, still not absolutely perfect.
Until Hans sent me a text message that the Roe Buck was coming up towards the hide from behind me. He passed me and then, at the perfect spot.. he stopped and looked back at me. Finally!!
