Wrapped in red

Usually I'm too late to photograph the Yellow Wagtail on Holland's vast tulip fields but this year, for once, I was on time :-)

At the very moment the fields are in full bloom, the tulips are deadheaded to ensure that all the flower's energy goes into the bulb in stead of into flowering. One or two days can make the difference between acres of pretty flowers and acres of cut green stems. And of course, during those few days, you have to be lucky with the light and you have to find a Wagtail. So I'm a very happy camper right now :-)
