Supermodel
As you may have read underneath Michel’s fantastic Wheatear shot, we were in Terschelling last weekend at the annual BirdPix-weekend. Of course the weather forecast predicted storm :-)
We found this Wheatear lady the day we arrived at the island. She was incredibly co-operating. As the migrating birds were late this year, the rest of the party paid her a visit also. Can you imagine; one little Wheatear surrounded by 12 BirdNerds, (not at the same time though) shooting their heads off. Michel was not exaggerating when he says that maybe even as many as 20.000 pictures were shot of her. (Michel alone must have over 5000 shots I'm sure!). Which certainly makes her a Supermodel!!
Btw: de birdy was not disturbed in any way by this circus and just went on feeding on the many larvae.
ps. The title is meant to glorify the beautiful Wheatear of course (so.... it is not meant to refer to the shot below :-))
