Magenta Throated Woodstar

For the first time in my life I visited Costa Rica a while back. A wonderful country and one of my biggest wishes came true; seeing a sloth.

But nothing could have prepared me for another gem of Costa Rica; the all-around hummingbirds!

The wonderful colors, the swiftness of their movements and just the sheer beauty of those little birds still dazzle me. I wasn't really prepared enough to go shoot them but even without the multi-flash set-ups I got some really nice shots.

I think this little wonder is really true to its name!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!!
