The fox's crossing....
We all know those people that prepare their trips extremely well. Unfortunately my husband and I do not belong to that admirable species. Hence, on our little boat trip last week, not hindered by detailed maps of the area (!), we ended up in parts of the Biesbosch National Park in Holland, nobody in their right mind dared to steer their boat in because of the very shallow depth. Of course it helped that we weren't altogether sure what the depth of our boat actually was! :-)
However the lucky result of this was that we were completely alone in a narrow stream and decided to anchor and call it a day. (as it turned out, the reason why the boat was lying so still was that the front of it was buried rocksteady in the sand..) As you can see on the picture below, hubby was however alert for any lurking dangers that might lay ahead..)
I don't know what caused it, but the both of us looked up at the same moment.....just in time to see something brownish entering the water some 10 meters from our boat. We couldn't make out just what it was untill I grabbed the camera and started shooting. Through the lens I recognized the fuzzy tail and whispered 'Fox'! Already on the other side the fox heared me and turned his head towards the camera.... I think that each and every one of you, being all people who like to take pictures, can imagine the rush of adrenaline that raced through my veins at that moment.
I hope you enjoy the moment just as much as we did.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!!!
