Swansea’s Cenotaph to those who died in the two World Wars and in later conflicts. The foundation stone was laid by Field Marshall Earl Haig on 1 July 1922 and was unveiled by Admiral Sir Doveton Sturdee on 21 July 1923 when it was also dedicated. The memorial was damaged during by sharpnel during World War Two.
