Hunting Pink and Why It’s Called This

Course officials at the Banwen Miners Hunt Point to Point Races. The scarlet red jackets they wear are known as 'hunting pinks' not because of the colour but because of a tailor named Pinks who made the best such wear for the hunting fraternity. The name 'pinks' then became a generic name applied to these colourful jackets worn by those who hunt. Collars and jacket buttons identify the individual hunts.
