"The Spark" -- Documentation of Content Development by Hunter Kennedy Script Documentation
As my assistant director Hilary Simister and I documented Jason Matlo's Fall/Winter 2013/14 collection on her Canon SLR, I knew that it wasn't enough to just shoot something cool. I needed a story.
Often when brainstorming for ideas, I'll sit down with my notebook and let sparks from the tip of my brain jump down my arm to my fingertips and to the end of a pen.
I like pen, not pencil, so that I can't erase what I don't like, and there's a record of how I got to the final draft. I prefer a large sketchbook with high grade heavy-weight paper. No lines. I need the freedom to think without borders, and scribble my thoughts in esoteric calligraphy and sometimes drawings.
As I started writing down inspiration words, lines of a story began to form.
