ROBERT HUFFSTUTTER says:
INCA WALLS
Text by Rich Eye, the photographer
These walls in Cusco, Peru were constructed by the Incas, Cusco being their major city with near-by Machu Picchu as their place of worship, apparently. The Spanish built buildings on these walls, but they all tumbled down during earthquakes. Many buildings have fallen since, the walls remain. No cement or other binding was used in the construction.
