ROBERT HUFFSTUTTER says: This is a photo I like. It was not until I first arrived in Japan many years ago that I saw my first canals. I found them very fascinating and spent much time watching the boats going to and from one location to another. Many were carrying materials for the reconstruction of the city. The bridges were very old fashioned. I did many sketches of the canals. Most of those sketches, fortunately and unfortunately, I gave to owners of sake shops and bars, and many to friends. Somewhere, if I can find them, I will post them.

ROBERT HUFFSTUTTER says: I have many letters that were mailed in a mail post like this. Those letters are from long ago. They are letters I have not read for many years.

ROBERT HUFFSTUTTER says: Love the Suntory sign. This alley looks the same as the ones I saw in Yokohama almost 50 years ago. The signs, the wires, the items outside the doors--they are all reminders of another era,the era of my youth. Thank you for sharing this photo.

ROBERT HUFFSTUTTER says: One of the best photographs of Mt Fuji I have seen. Yes, a studio in this location would be a dream come true.
