THE DOCUMENT THAT MADE AMERICA A DEMOCRACY
This is great...But it came a bit late. Had it been included in the original Constitution, thousand of lives would have been saved and the hate that was borne by its omission might have been less intense. That is to say, it is almost unreal when one considers the founding fathers establishing a nation called a Democracy and permitting slavery to exist. If one wonders why some people do not celebrate the 4th of July, think about this subject for awhile. This is one of the subjects that was not, unfortunately, taught in any detail in the United States Education system until after the Civil Rights bill had been passed. Of course, there are regional areas where it is still omitted; on the other hand, the pendelum has swung in a completely radical direction in other areas. What America really needs is a factual history of events without editorial comments from biased authors who are left or right wing oriented. I am capable of writing a factual text book that could be used in all fifty states and territories. I would appreciate and need help in this project. Why do I believe I could do it? It is called empathy. Becaue of my imagination, I am able to look at both sides of the issue without bias.
