Hawk Owl - Archives
Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula), perched on the woods edge in the aspen parkland region south of Opal, Alberta, Canada.
There have been few sightings of Hawk Owls and Great Grey Owls in the area despite intensive searches by the owl banding group.
Hopefully as winter progresses we will start to see more birds in their regular area.
