Northern Saw-whet Owl - Owlets

Northern Saw-whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus) owlets perched outside an artificial nest box on a friend's property on the edge of the boreal woods in the area near Thorhild, Alberta, Canada.

The rodent population must have been high in the area as this pair of owls produced seven young. It was a joy to see so many healthy young owls.
