Northern Saw-whet Owl - Owlets

Northern Saw-whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus) owlets in the mixed woods on the fringe of the boreal forest north of Opal, Alberta, Canada.

These young were in an artificial nest box, one of many set out and checked annually by a good friend Ray. We went out with him to check on this nest site and found five young.
