Modern Curbless Shower with Schluter Linear Drain – Bathroom Transformation in Houston’s Medical Center
This bathroom transformation took place in a historic 1920s home located in Houston’s Medical Center. Though the space was small—it’s a second-floor hallway bathroom—we brought it fully up to date with function, elegance, and longevity in mind.
We completely reworked the plumbing and electrical, pulling all necessary permits to ensure everything met modern standards. The old cast iron pipes were replaced, and the layout was updated to accommodate a sleek, modern curbless shower.
We used the complete Schluter lineup from start to finish, including a floated shower pan and a perfectly installed linear drain that runs the full width of the shower, creating a single slope for ideal drainage. The walls and floors were tiled in large-format brown tones, and the black Schluter metal trims provide a clean, modern contrast that frames the work with precision.
A minimalist glass panel and a wall-mounted sink complete the look—proving that even a small space can deliver big on comfort and style.
