HOPE not hate 2008

The stars from the hit BBC show The Apprentice were among the most enthusiastic supporters of the campaign calling on Britain to give racism the sack.

While Sir Alan Sugar supported the national HOPE not hate campaign, his assistants Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford visited the bus as it arrived in London.

Sir Alan’s assistants were delighted to see two winners of the BBC business reality show, Tim Campbell and Simon Ambrose, on our doubledecker.

Nick told us: “Racism is a light sleeper, we’ve got to be on our guard at all times. “We have to be vigilant all the time and educate people.”

Margaret added: “I don’t think racism has gone away completely. It’s an undercurrent.”

Tim explained how The Apprentice was a shining example in the fight against prejudice. “It didn’t matter about race, gender, whether you had a wooden or silver spoon in your mouth. It’s about how determined you were to succeed. Unfortunately, it’s not like that in the real world.” Simon agreed, saying: “In an ideal world we wouldn’t need it but HOPE not hate is a really positive message.”
