Levers and Hows !

Early Spring in the Lake District can be a challenge with very changeable weather. As I neared the top of the Coppermine Valley in grey sleety rain the clouds opened revealing Little How and Great How capped in a smattering of snow high above Levers Water. The waterfalls on the left are the cascades of the Levers falling down to the Coppermine Valley and eventually Coniston a couple of miles further down.

I continued up to the Lake before heading up to Coniston Old Man. I did manage a few shots of Levers Water, where the water levels were pretty low after the dry spell of weather we have had in March, before the weather really closed in and I eventually departed in search of better conditions in the Yorkshire Dales.
