The Garlic path!
I have been back to this woods 5 times now to try and catch the Wild Garlic Alium flowers in full bloom and in good conditions. Sadly we haven't had the mist or light to show them at their best during my visits. But there is still time yet.
I was pretty devastated though on this mornings visit as I had a shot I wanted to take deep in the woods of a tree festooned with the Garlic flowers with a wonderful backdrop of these aromatic plants. But as soon as I got to the woods you could see that someone had been in with a tractor and had churned up all the plants in that area. When I got to the spot I had recce'd for the shot of the fallen tree, I saw that it had been chainsawed into sections and removed leaving a real mess!
I may give it one last go here if we get some fog or mist in the next week, otherwise this is the best I can do for this year here!
I did think long and hard about leaving the log in this shot, as it either adds to the image or detracts from it, which ever way you see it, but in the end I left it in!
