'Edith May' at Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, U.K.

An 86ft, medium sized coasting barge, she is spritsail rigged and constructed of Pitch Pine on Oak. Originally built in 1906 for coastal trade carrying wheat and grain products, she also had a successful racing career before falling into sad disrepair during the 1990s.

Purchased by her current owner in 1999, an extensive programme of restoration has been undertaken and completed. Now sailing once again, the Edith May Trading Company has been formed and invites you to join them on this most beautiful of sailing vessels.
