Milky Way on the move.....
Oregon coast sea stacks and the milky way
This was a really fun night. The wind was calm, the fog was nowhere to be seen, the tide was rolling out, and the seas were behaving nicely. These sea stacks are located very near some motels and houses that will illuminate the rocks during long exposures. The ambient light allowed me to move around and get a few different compositions over the course of a few hours. Here is one of them.

Nikon D850 with Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8 lens at 24mm
Foreground: F8, ISO 640, 170seconds
Sky: 15 images stacked using starry landscape stacker for noise reduction, ISO 8,000, F2.8, 10 seconds
This is a 2 image exposure blend using Lightroom and Photoshop to hand blend and post process. The tripod is never moved during the different exposures.
