Daniel Libeskind's "Kö-Bogen" Project: office and retail center in downtown Duesseldorf
The Schadow Monument, a classicistic portrait bust by August Wittig, was erected on Schadow Square in 1869 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Art Academy. From 1826 to 1859 he was director of the Royal Academy of Arts in Duesseldorf.
