Do contests make you smile? Does your heart beat a little louder when you think of winning a PRIZE?? THEN THIS IS THE CONTEST FOR YOU!!

 

Pullip-Tography's Maiden Voyage Contest!

Your Pullip . . . your city. How does she view where she lives? What is your city best known for? How would you show someone who's not from there, what you're most proud of?

 

The contest will officially open February 1st.

 

Round one will be from February 1st - April 16th (Yes, 2 whole months to get your shot--because winter is not pretty everywhere!). It is the Natural Beauty round. Find something that is indiginous to your city, something that shows the natural beauty of where you live, and get your best shot of your Pullip savoring it. It can be a wide shot or a tighter shot but the nature must be visible, and so must your Pullip.

 

Rules:

First and foremost: You must use a Pullip/Dal/Byul, that belongs to you. Please, no using someone else's doll. Pictures can only include one doll for this contest.

Second: Editing is allowed with Picnik or Photoshop, or whatever editing software you use. BUT . . . no superposition . . . or layering your pullip on artificial background/pictures she was not actually originally attached to.

Third . . . (DUH!): You must be a member of Pullip-Tography to enter and to win. Go here to join: www.flickr.com/groups/pullip-tography/

 

Guidelines:

1. If it's dangerous, then it's not worth it . . . use your best judgment.

2. You may submit one photo per round. You may use one doll per round and you may use a different doll for different rounds. Any dolls you use for the contest must be your personal dolls.

3. The goal is to show off your city's beauty, while also showing off your Pullip's beauty too!

4. There will be three rounds. A description for the next round will follow judging.

5. If you'd like to participate, please go to the Pullip-Tography Discussion Forum and add your name to the "Maiden Voyage" Contest Sign-up Thread, along with which Pullip you plan to use for Round One.

6. When you've taken your shot, please post it in the "Maiden Voyage" Contest Entries Thread.

7. Judging will occur some time around the first week of April. Those moving on to Round Two will be posted and notified of their continuance. = )

8. There will be First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize.

9. Photos will be judged by people outside of the Pullip community, who have no ties to Pullip-Tography but do know what a great photo looks like.

 

 

 

PRIZES:

First Prize is: Pullip AYA! She is brand new, NRFB, and waiting to come home to one lucky winner. There is no entry fee for this contest as I am funding it completely. If you're the winner and you'd like to help out, it would be appreciated but not necessary. If you are a winner outside of the United States, you may be required to pay customs fees but Aya will be marked as a gift. <3 (I MAY GIVE THE WINNER A CHOICE BETWEEN AYA, AQUEL, AND NEO NOIR!)

Also, the group's icon will be made from one of the winner's contest photos and kept on display for at least two months.

 

Second Prize is: A mini Pullip! I haven't decided which one yet but most likely Doormouse, Donkey, or March Hare.

 

Third Prize is: An outfit for your Pullip (haven't found the right one just yet but I will do my best!)

I want to say that if a particular photo is your entry for the contest, I will not be commenting on entries only because I don't think that's really fair . . . almost like favoritism or pre-judging. The tag on them is so that they are easily searchable for everyone. = )
