This is another one from Abiqua falls that shows more of the surrounding area. It's like a big bowl or amphitheatre-like canyon. I'm backed up against the wall up on a pile of fallen rock like that green pile on the opposite side. I think I shot almost every angle possible in that place. I saw people at the top of the falls so I'll have to check that out next time.
I can imagine this place in the winter. The waterfall is at about 1600' elevation, higher than the Silver falls waterfalls and there's gravel roads almost 4 miles after the last pavement. Then there's the steep hike. All that in snow would be quite a challenge. But I think this is one place that would be worth the effort just in the rarity of the view.
