Following the split of London Transport into LT and London Country, the latter found itself short of serviceable vehicles. To the rescue came withdrawn AEC Merlin vehicles from the LT fleet. Seen here at Garston Garage this early example - note the low driving position - is parked with non standard LT blinds for the 346A route that linked two large housing estates from opposite ends of Watford Town Centre
