Food dropping Tile, Spring 1945, Netherlands - 518

Possibly the most well-known tile is the food dropping tile, 29 April - 5th May 1945, showing the Allied Forces dropping food parcels for the starving population in Holland (after the terrible winter of 1944- 1945). This tile shows the rising sun behind the village which is symbolic of a new beginning in the Netherlands.
