Walburgiskerk, Zutphen, Netherlands - 2937

The Walburgis church, locally known as the Walburg church, is a church on the 's-Gravenhof in the Dutch city of Zutphen, the oldest part of which dates from the 11th century. The current church for the most part dates from the first half of the 13th century; since the 16th century it has its contemporary appearance.

The eleventh-century oldest part of the church was first dedicated to both Peter and Walburga, but the first disappeared from view in the course of the 12th century. Until about 1250 the Walburgis church was the only parish church from Zutphen until the Nieuwstadskerk was founded.

The tower has a height of 76 meters, but was up to 1600 117 meters high. This made the tower higher than the Dom tower in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
