Peat Church, Veenmuseum, Drenthe, Netherlands - 1526

The Peat Church (Dutch: Veenkerk) in Barger-Compascuum, Drenthe, the Netherlands was a small Roman Catholic church, which was built in 1874 in the bog area of southeast Drenthe.

Was in 1873, at the initiative of the priest of Erica, a new parish founded in Barger-Compascuum.

This is what we saw during our Cycling holiday in Drenthe, the Netherlands, when we also paid a visit to the Paetmuseum (Dutch: Veenmuseum) in Vriezenveenseveld.
