The DUPLOdocus
The SHIP from the Planet DUPLON
Invaders from the Planet DUPLON are sure to strike fear into the hearts of any inhabitant of a LEGO city. To cross the depths of space to reach the airspace of a city like Bricksburg, however, they need spaceships suitable to their kind. The DUPLOdocus is a massive vessel capable of cruising across the universe looking for some utopia of small bricks to invade when the father figure of the small brick world turns his back...
_________
Every year I tell myself that this year I will build a SHIP for SHIPtember. Every year September and even August are full of sorting after the Summer Joust and full of back-to-school responsibilities (being a teacher IRL), and I spend much of my time at home looking after small people; and so I never get one built. This year was different! This year I built a SHIP during the largest part of my weekly build time, the time with my kids' DUPLO. Somehow this managed to avoid being destroyed before I took some pictures, and so here is my semi-serious entry into this year's SHIPtember. It is 103 LEGO studs long.
I will totally understand if this doesn't make the poster, though...
