Common Darter (male)

A lovely male Common Darter dragonfly obligingly sat on the rail of a wooden bridge at Woods Mill, so I was able to take a photo of him. I had to be patient because he flew up several times and turned to look - accusingly, I swear - at me. Eventually he must have decided I was harmless because he settled down again. I'd love to have taken a photo from the front, but he was on a bridge, so I'd have got a bit wet! :))
