I'm back!
From Gizmo's point of view that should probably say I'm back :(
Poor boy. He and Markie are back at the rescue centre where I volunteer for two weeks while their foster carer is on holiday. They had only been there a couple of days when I saw them and I think they were a little confused.
Gizmo and Markie were rescued from a scene of domestic violence. The shelter runs a scheme which fosters pets who find themselves in this situation until the non-violent partner is rehomed and settled again. At that point they're reunited. It means so much to the victims of domestic violence to know that their pets are safe and cared for and that they'll see them again.
For me, it was just lovely to see them again. I'd almost forgotten how gorgeous Gizmo is. He's a Red Birman.
